Purpose/Goals: This session will focus on the significance of considering risk in planning and implementing adaptation for conservation. Participants will hear examples of how practitioners from different sectors are incorporating risk into adaptation and resilience along the Gulf Coast and explore opportunities for partnership to reach conservation goals.
- Understand how the concept of risk informs adaptation planning and how perceived future risk can facilitate or complicate adaptation action.
- Identify regional examples of integrating future risk into climate change adaptation and consider opportunities for partnership building.
